1825/4 (2) Capped Bust Quarter *Extremely Rare* PCGS VF Details

Description

This 1825/4 (2) is an extremely rare coin.  PCGS estimates that of the 144,000 minted, only 237 examples of this coin survive in all grades.  While PCGS designated this coin as authentic with Very Fine details (cleaned), I can say with total certainty if true, the cleaning is quite old. This coin has been in storage for over 35 years. While we don't know when the previous owner acquired the coin, he was a long-time coin collector (going back to the 1950s) who did not clean his coins.
