    Description

This is a set of General-XX #188 (Hamburg-Nord/Nordmark) Shoulder Boards with RZM Tag (Allgemeine-XX Paar Schulterklappen, Bann "188" um 1940, ohne Schlaufen, mit RZM-Papieretikett). These are in the 1938 pattern, loosely woven black rayon construction, sew-on shoulder straps. However, some loving mother put snaps on this boy's boards. Very thoughtful of her. The shoulder straps feature red, rayon piping, and machine embroidered Bann numerals, "188" also in red threads. They have the correct one RZM tag attached. The shoulder straps represents rank of scout boy while the red piping and Bann numerals indicate youth serving in Bann 188 of the General-XX. The double tress is for the rank of Oberrottenfuhrer or senior corporal. The Bann was for "Bann Hamburg-Nord/Nordmark." I purchased these in 2005 from a dealer in Hamburg, Germany. This is an extremely rare set for this rank and becoming harder to find in this condition.
    NOTE
: These are all pieces from my 30 year personal collection of WW2 Militaria that I am now liquidating. They are all authentic unless otherwise noted in the description.
