Improved Albert System Wood Bb Clarinet in Good Condition c1900 - Make an Offer!

Description

This unbranded wood Albert system high pitched Bb clarinet was most likely made around the turn of the century, although it has no serial number or manufacturer engraving. It’s in good structural condition with no cracks or damage that we can see, although it would need a cleaning and repad to put it into good playing condition. The only marking on the instrument is on the front of the upper section where a brand logo would ordinarily go. It says “B flat HP.”
All the keys move and we see no signs of any mechanical problems that wouldn’t be solved by a repad job. The plating on the keys has dulled but should polish up nicely. There are no worn spots and no evidence of thinning that we can detect.
The case is not original to the instrument. It’s an old style Conn clarinet case. The wood is undamaged and the hinges work well, although it has no handle.
