    This was a really rare find... indeed. I just returned from Laos where I was fortunate enough to find this really rare old Akha silver neck ring. Neck rings like this were worn by Akha women on ceremonial dress for festivals, religious holidays, weddings etc. Nowadays such pieces are extremely rare as traditional ways are giving way to the modern world. It is especially difficult to find such a large and richly decorated neck ring these days. I bet none of your friends has one of these
