Vintage 1954 HENRI SELMER PARIS FRANCE “CENTERED TONE” Wood Clarinet estate item

This is a vintage 1954 “HENRI SELMER PARIS MADE IN FRANCE CENTERED TONE” wooden clarinet with case from a local estate (matching joints “P7545”). We read on-line that the Selmer Centered Tone is the great jazz clarinet of the era. It has been carefully stored and looks clean overall (see images). It has not been used recently, and we do not play so have no way to test it and will just describe what we see. The joints assemble snugly, with some small losses to greased extremely thin cork wrapping (see images). Looking closely at the bores and exteriors of all parts we see no cracks or repairs. All we see to mention is a light wood scratch in the upper joint near the Selmer logo, and expected signs of tarnish from handling (see image closeups). The original leather case has some expected wear with good working zipper / displays nice (see images). Fantastic looking vintage professional instrument! It is being sold as-found / as-is for restoration or display. As with all instruments we offer we recommend restoration and setup to personal tastes before use.
